Prevention
The Four Point Plan
In order to assist in the prevention of salmonella and the implementation of controls we have devised the following four point plan.
1.
Educate -
so that you fully understand the Regulations and
their implications
2.
Investigate
- a farm visit from one of the Poultry Team
vets or Scitech microbiologist to investigate your on farm situation
prior
3.
Eliminate -
a report , the Salmonella Prevention Plan , on the
farm findings, laboratory testing, and advice on how to reduce any
salmonella contamination
4. Re-evaluate - a second site visit later in the year to assess the success of the Salmonella Prevention Plan .
